The heart is a vital organ that adapts to different physiological demands. Exercise is one of the factors that can influence the heart structure and function. In this article, we report the results of an experiment that compared the effects of exercise on the heart rate, stroke volume, cardiac output, and ventricular mass in rats. We found that exercise increased all these parameters significantly, indicating that exercise enhances the cardiac performance and efficiency in rats.
